Curious Frog Theatre Company will be opening Two Gentleman of Verona this weekend in Queens for their fifth season of FREE Shakespeare in the NYC parks.

Opening August 12th, the comedy Two Gents has been adapted to take place in the early 1980s.

One week later, Julius Caesar opens with the more classic 44 B.C. concept.

Both shows are FREE, and times, dates and park locations vary.

The summer’s comedy, Two Gentlemen of Verona, continues in CFTC’s usual direction of contemporary concepts, tackling the era of Reagonomics and shoulder pads in a 75-minute version of the Bard’s less-oft performed play.

Two Gentlemen of Verona performs this weekend in Astoria Park on the Great Lawn at 19th St/23rd Ave. (8/12 6pm, 8/13 4pm) and Queensbridge Park (8/14 4pm).
